The Rogue VB100,is a great bass with a vintage look of the old basses used by Paul McCartney in the days with the Beatles. It has a great tone to it,being that it is a semi hollow body bass. The neck is maple with a rosewood fretboard, and plays great. The cost of this bass is a fraction of the cost of what an original Hofner would cost.I bought a left handed bass, but I had the nut and the strings switched around, because when I learned to play a bass,I only hadright handed basses to learn on,so flipping it upside down was all I could do.Now,that is the only way I can play. But in doing so with this bass, each tuning key is in the same position on the headstock,so switching the strings around was no problem,as it could be with a headstock with all four tuning keys on one side.Which could possibly require purchasing longer strings. All in all, this is a very good bass for the money, and if I ever needed to,I'd buy another one.
