(More customer reviews)I purchased this bass and it is built well. The neck felt good to my hand and I like the soapbar pickup. I play with a pick and the pickup is great for that. The only problem was that the neck was bowed and when I tried to have it straightened, I was told that the repair guy was worried about further damage. Some of the bow was removed, but it still was not perfect. It had a great sound with the Dean Markley "Misfits" strings. For a begginer bass it is not bad and I am sure that not all the necks are bad. Just a note : having a neck adjusted is not cheap an it can take time. I spent $65 and still it was not 100%
